Less than a week after the 2023 NFL Draft began, the New England Patriots and one of their selections have agreed to terms on a four-year contract.

The Patriots are signing sixth-round pick Kayshon Boutte, a wide receiver out of LSU to a four-year deal worth $4,027,274 with a $187,274 signing bonus.

Boutte was selected on the third day of the draft last Saturday.

Here's the breakdown in base salary:

2023: $750k
2024: $915k
2025: $1.03M
2026: $1.145M

And here are his salary cap hits:

2023: $796,818
2024: $961,818
2025: $1,076,818
2026: $1,191,820

Boutte is a talented prospect who once was rated as a five-star recruit.

He’s the fastest LSU receiver to record 100 catches but injuries, off-field concerns and a poor 2023 NFL Scouting Combine pushed him down draft boards to the 187th overall pick.

He'll compete with fellow sixth-round pick Demario Douglas, among others, for a roster spot behind JuJu Smith-Schuster, DeVante Parker, Kendrick Bourne and Tyquan Thornton.
