DeAndre Hopkins has wasted no time since joining the Tennessee Titans, firing back at those speaking badly about him.
One New England Patriots fan account gave his take on the situation, and Hopkins was not having it (however, it did have an amicable ending).
The fan claimed he never wanted Hopkins to sign with New England, writing "he's gonna be washed this season."
However, Hopkins fired back and accused the fan of being "probably the same one talking bad about Tom when he left too."
For context, many Patriots fans turned their back on Tom Brady after he left the Patriots to join the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. They seemed to forget the six Super Bowl victories he helped lead the team get.
Hopkins deleted the tweet soon after, and followed it up with a more general comment.
"I always loved having haters and doubters but I appreciate it even more now. Titan up!!," Hopkins wrote.
Titans fans would certainly be happy about Hopkins excitement over joining the team, with them certain to be reminded to A.J. Brown.
Yet, the fan and Hopkins did clear the air following the incident.
It's clear that Hopkins is willing to speak up for himself on social media, but now one must wait to see if he does the same on the field.
The Patriots will face off against Hopkins and the Titans during preseason on Aug. 26 at Nissan Stadium.
