The New England Patriots might be regretting their lack of aggression after the newest Madden rankings were released.
The top 10 wide receivers in Madden24 were released, and it was no surprise that one Pro Bowler made that list.
It's good news for the Tennessee Titans, but bad for the Patriots.
DeAndre Hopkins was listed at No. 7 overall with a rating of 93.
And to no surprise, no Patriots receiver cracked the list.
The Patriots lost out on a potential deal with Hopkins after the receiver is reportedly signing with the Titans on a two-year, $26 million contract. It was reported that the deal between New England and the receiver didn't happen due to a difference in the financial packages offered by both teams.
"Patriots stayed in consistent contact with DeAndre Hopkins’ camp through free agency process, but their base financial package wasn’t in the same ballpark as what Titans offered. The good vibes between N.E. and Hopkins from his team visit never translated to a workable deal," ESPN's Jeremy Fowler wrote.
Hopkins was suspended for the first six games of last season due to a violation of the league's performance-enhancing drugs policy, he still played last season finishing with 64 receptions for 717 total yards and three touchdowns.
He is a major weapon for Ryan Tannehill, while it's looked at as a "missed opportunity" for the Patriots.
