There are a lot of eyes on Rhamondre Stevenson this season, as the New England Patriots running back currently sits on top the depth chart for this season.
And he earned himself a bit of recognition prior to the start of training camp.
ESPN released rankings for different positions across the league, surveying "league executives, coaches, scouts, and players," along with looking at interviews and reviewing film. And while he didn't earn a spot in the Top 10, Stevenson was given an honorable mention among the top running backs in the league.
"He's sneaky fast but not explosive," an AFC scout said. "He can run. Reminds me of Natrone Means a little bit — big, good feet, strong, solid grind-it-out player that will wear you down."
2022 was a breakout season for Stevenson, with the 25-year-old running back finishing with 210 carries for 1,040 yards and 69 catches for 421 yards across 17 games.
While he began the season as a backup to Damien Harris, the former Patriot suffered a hamstring injury in Week 5 that allowed Stevenson to take over as the top running back. Harris left after last season, signing a one-year deal with AFC East rival, the Buffalo Bills.
While there are still rumors surrounding the possible addition of free agent Dalvin Cook, Stevenson will still be a major part of the offense regardless.
