After two heartbreaking losses on buzzer-beaters, the Vols got back on track this week thanks to a win over No. 1 Alabama on Wednesday night.

Tennessee's win against Bama was the first time the Vols have knocked off the No. 1 team in the nation since 2018 when they beat top-ranked Gonzaga.

The Vols' smothering defense combined with good offensive nights from Zakai Zeigler and Santiago Vescovi was enough to propel Tennessee over the Crimson Tide.

Tennessee can solidify itself as a top seed in the NCAA tournament with a win against Kentucky in Lexington on Saturday.

But that won't be an easy task. The Wildcats have struggled at times this season, but Oscar Tshiebwe is still one of the best players in the nation. Tennessee will have to contain Tshiebewe to get the road win on Saturday.

When things are going right for the Vols, they're a clear Final Four team. If we see the same Tennessee team against Kentucky that we saw against Alabama on Wednesday night, then it'll be a long afternoon for the Wildcats.
