Detroit Lions fans are hyped and ready for the first home game of the 2023 season. So hyped that a movement has begun in town as of late. The Ski Mask movement.
Lions safety C.J. Gardner-Johnson called for Lions fans to wear a blue ski mask to the game on Sunday and Lions fans are, for the most part, all in on doing it. They're so in that they bought Amazon clean out of them this week.
The Lions and Ford Field are totally cool with fans wearing the masks to the game, they just have one very simple rule to follow and that is this:
You will not be permitted to enter the stadium with the mask on, but once in the stadium, you can wear it.
There it is. It's that simple. Do not put the mask on until you get to your seat and you'll be good to go.
I can't wait to see the image of Ford Field full of fans with blue ski masks on. It's going to be the hardest damn thing ever seen at a football game. It should also help amp up the players on the field. This should be a fun day.
