Since the big trade of L’Jarius Sneed has become official, his former Kansas City Chiefs teammates have been saying their farewell.

Trent McDuffie roamed the defensive backfield with Sneed and he has nothing but good things to say about the star defender as he moves on to the Tennessee Titans.

“Coldest in the business. Best I’ve been around, keep solidifying your legacy family,” McDuffie said of Sneed on Twitter.

Sneed was traded to two future draft picks from the Titans after the Chiefs placed the franchise tag on him. Kansas City did right by a player that they had no plans of paying long-term. It all worked out for Sneed because he then agreed to a four-year deal worth more than $76 million.

McDuffie was teammates with Sneed for the last two seasons, or equal to half of Sneed’s tenure in Kansas City. The two were part of a very good unit in 2023 with McDuffie ending as an All-Pro and Sneed was a Pro Bowl snub at worst.

One could think that McDuffie’s arrival made Sneed expendable. Before long, the Chiefs will have to cross the bridge of paying McDuffie.

As Sneed moves onto the Titans, he will have all of Kansas City including teammates like McDuffie who respect the player he is.
