There have been no shortage of upsets during the 2024 college football season, and now the stakes are even higher during Conference Championship Weekend. Here are our underdog picks that could win outright.

*Odds subject to change

No.  16 Iowa State Cyclones OVER No. 12 Arizona State Sun Devils (+120 moneyline) – BetMGM

The Big 12 Championship is on the line in a matchup that should be pretty even. Iowa State had a disappointing two-game stretch where it lost to Texas Tech and Kansas, but rebounded nicely to win it's final three games – including a good win over Kansas State. Arizona State also lost to Texas Tech earlier this year.

The Cyclones' offense is built around their strong passing game, and the Sun Devils have been middling against the pass. Arizona State may also struggle to keep pace without their leading receiver Jordyn Tyson, who suffered a shoulder injury against Arizona last week.

No. 18 Clemson Tigers OVER No. 8 SMU Mustangs (+115 moneyline) – Caesars Sportsbook

These two teams will battle it out for the ACC Championship. Clemson has to win to make the College Football Playoff, and while SMU could still make it in with a loss, it would be risky. Cade Klubnik has quietly been one of the better quarterbacks in the nation for the Tigers, making plays with his arm and legs.

Clemson's defense has been disappointing this year and this game could turn into a shootout. If it does, I like the Tigers' experience in big games and their high-powered passing game to give them the edge.
