Xavier Worthy gets one step closer to returning to the field in latest Chiefs injury report for Week 4 vs. Ravens
Kansas City’s injury misfortunes are turning around.
The Kansas City Chiefs have wrapped up their Thursday practice, and for the second consecutive day, every active player participated in some form.
As the Chiefs look to get to the .500 mark after an 0-2 start, they’re getting healthy at the perfect time. The same cannot be said for their Week 4 adversaries, the Baltimore Ravens, who were down several starters during practice yet again. Let’s examine each team’s latest injury reports.
Ravens’ Thursday injury report
| Player | Injury | W/T |
| OT Ronnie Stanley | Ankle | DNP/DNP |
| DT Nnamdi Madubuike | Neck | DNP/DNP |
| OLB Kyle Van Noy | Hamstring | DNP/DNP |
| DT Broderick Washington | Ankle | DNP/DNP |
| FB Patrick Ricard | Calf | DNP/DNP |
| NT Travis Jones | Knee | DNP/LP |
| TE Isaiah Likely | Foot | LP/LP |
KEY: DNP = Did not participate | LP = Limited participation | FP = Full participation | NIR = Not injury related
Observations:
- Jones was able to return to practice on Thursday on a limited basis. We’ll get a clearer picture of his availability for Week 4 on Friday.
- Stanley, Ricard, Madubuike, Van Noy, and Washington — all starters for Baltimore — did not practice for the second consecutive day. It is important to remember that the Ravens just played on Thursday, so they could be being extra cautious with those guys. However, Madubuike has already been ruled out for Sunday and may miss multiple weeks with a neck injury.
- Likely was limited again on Thursday, but may have a shot to make his regular season debut against Kansas City on Sunday.
Chiefs’ Thursday injury report
| Player | Injury | W/T |
| CB Kristian Fulton | Ankle | LP/LP |
| DE Mike Danna | Quad | LP/FP |
| WR Xavier Worthy | Shoulder | FP/FP |
| WR Jalen Royals | Knee | FP/FP |
| LB Nick Bolton | Rib | FP/FP |
| C Creed Humphrey | Rib | FP/FP |
| S Bryan Cook | Neck | FP/FP |
| WR Hollywood Brown | Ankle | FP/FP |
| DE Ashton Gillotte | Elbow | FP/FP |
| QB Patrick Mahomes | Wrist | FP/FP |
| DE Charles Omenihu | Hand | FP/FP |
| OT Jawaan Taylor | Ankle/Knee | FP/FP |
| LB Drue Tanquill | Knee | FP/FP |
KEY: DNP = Did not participate | LP = Limited participation | FP = Full participation | NIR = Not injury related
Observations:
- Worthy logged his second consecutive full practice, signaling that he will make his return on Sunday barring a setback. He’s been out since the third play from scrimmage of the Chiefs’ Week 1 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers with a separated shoulder. Getting Worthy back will be huge for K.C.’s ability to open up the offense more.
- Danna upgraded to a full practice on Thursday, putting him on track to also return on Sunday. Danna left Week 2’s matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles with a quad injury, and did not play against the New York Giants last week.
- Fulton remained limited on Thursday, but him being back at practice this week is a positive. If he’s able to upgrade to a full participant on Friday, he’ll likely play against the Ravens.
