Blockbuster trade chatter heats up as NFL insider connects Broncos to big move
Broncos Country has to be thrilled.
The Denver Broncos could wind up being buyers at the NFL trade deadline. The team is in first place in its division and tied with the best record in the NFL. All 32 teams have until 4 p.m. (ET) on Tuesday, Nov. 4, to make their moves, with an NFL insider predicting that the Broncos are going to be part of a massive trade.
Jordan Schultz quickly went viral with his post on X, formerly known as Twitter, which will have Broncos Country more than a little excited about what’s to come.
Schultz hinted that Denver could be one of several teams looking to add firepower before the deadline. With the team surging and quarterback Bo Nix continuing to develop, the idea of a high-profile addition is turning heads across the league.
Denver has some needs ahead of the deadline
Any time you hear a potential big trade, the idea of another weapon for Nix comes to mind, specifically in the wide receiver room. It’s the splashiest of moves, with some top players around the league available for the right price. Saints wide receivers Chris Olave and Rashid Shaheed are some options available at the deadline, along with Miami Dolphins wide receiver Jaylen Waddle.
The Broncos could also target a left guard, with injuries piling up on the offensive line and several players out on injured reserve. ESPN posted an article about players to watch and linked the Broncos to Ravens guard Ben Cleveland. Though his name might not be the splashiest, he would make an immediate impact on the roster.
Continuing on the thought process with injuries, the team recently signed 41-year-old Marcedes Lewis, who became the oldest tight end to play in a game and the oldest Bronco in team history. With some injuries to the position group, another big name could be that of tight ends David Njoku, Mark Andrews, or even T.J. Hockenson.
Lastly, cornerback is another position of need with a few top-tier players who could potentially be available for the Broncos. Cornerbacks Riq Woolen, Alontae Taylor, and Cam Taylor-Britt could be good options for the team moving forward.
With the team in playoff contention and the front office showing signs of aggression, per Schultz, don’t be surprised if Denver is one of the teams to strike a deal before the deadline. The Broncos are officially on trade watch.
