Graham Simpson, the younger brother of Alabama QB Ty Simpson, reveals if he’s interested in the Tennessee Vols
The Tennessee Vols heavily recruited Ty Simpson before the five-star quarterback landed with the Alabama Crimson Tide.
Alabama Crimson Tide starting quarterback Ty Simpson is one of the best stories in college football this season.
Simpson, a Martin, TN native who was heavily recruited by the Tennessee Vols before signing with Alabama, is in his first season as a starter in Tuscaloosa after sitting behind Bryce Young and Jalen Milroe the past three seasons. The former five-star recruit has been terrific this season, passing for 2,461 yards, 21 touchdowns and just one interception while leading Alabama to an 8-1 record.
Had Simpson come along a couple of years later, he may have signed with Tennessee instead of Alabama. After all, it looked like he was heading to Tennessee before a recruiting scandal led to Jeremy Pruitt getting fired by the Vols, which essentially took UT out of the battle for Simpson.
Fortunately for the Vols, they may have a chance to land Ty’s younger brother, 2028 three-star quarterback Graham Simpson.
Graham Simpson says he wants an offer from the Tennessee Vols
Graham Simpson is in the early stages of his recruitment, but he’s already receiving some interest from several marquee programs.
The 2028 quarterback already holds offers from Alabama, Auburn, Oregon, Miami, and Vanderbilt, among others.
Graham, however, is hoping to receive offers from Georgia and Tennessee in the near future.
“I’m definitely still looking for some offers — like Georgia and Tennessee, those schools I watched growing up,” said Graham to On3 this week. “I understand it’s early, so if I have to wait, I will.”
It’ll certainly be interesting to see if Tennessee recruits Graham after missing on Ty a couple of years ago.
