Bills could be showing their hand with what the next move is going to be, and the NFL didn’t even try to keep it a secret
A sneaky good addition of both sides can get a deal done.
The Buffalo Bills are trying to bolster their roster in any way they can. With free agency ongoing and the NFL Draft just weeks away, general manager Brandon Beane is turning every lever he can to try to make this team competitive heading into 2026.
It started with cornerback Dee Alford joining the organization, quickly followed by acquisitions and or trades involving EDGE Bradley Chubb, wide receiver DJ Moore, and safeties Geno Stone and C.J. Gardner-Johnson. They also took care of their own by agreeing to terms on a three-year deal with center Connor McGovern and a one-year deal for offensive lineman Alec Anderson.
It appears that Buffalo isn’t done, especially with its offensive line. As the NFL Transaction Wire showed, Buffalo brought in free agent guard Austin Corbett for a visit. The 8-year veteran would immediately help bolster the entire room if Beane decides to pull the trigger.
Corbett has a long history in the NFL and could be valuable for Buffalo
The talented offensive lineman has played for the Cleveland Browns, Los Angeles Rams, and, most recently, the Carolina Panthers. He started in 11 games last season for Carolina, and could be a missing piece on the offensive line. Getting him in on a one-year prove-it deal could be exactly what the doctor ordered. To no one’s surprise, he’s a former Panther; color me shocked.
Corbett has experience playing at center along with guard, as he was the starting center for the Panthers to begin 2024. One thing to watch out for is injury history. In 2024, he suffered a torn biceps and missed significant time due to injuries in 2023 and 2024. Before that, he started every game for the Rams and the Panthers in 2020, 2021, and 2022.
It’s not the splash signing that fans would hope for if Buffalo were to strike a deal, but it would provide valuable depth at the position, which is impossible to ignore.
At this stage of the offseason, it’s not always about making the loudest move; it’s about making the right one. If Beane believes Corbett can help keep quarterback Josh Allen upright and the offense humming, that’s a move Bills Mafia should be paying attention to.

This has got to be some kind of sick joke at this point.
