Former Tennessee Vols standout with a high ceiling predicted by national media outlet to land with the Tennessee Titans
The Tennessee Vols are expected to have multiple players selected on the first two days of the 2026 NFL Draft. The Volunteers have sent plenty of talent to the NFL during the Josh Heupel era.
A new 2026 NFL mock draft from CBS Sports predicts that a former Tennessee Vols standout with a ton of upside will land with the Tennessee Titans.
CBS Sports’ Ryan Wilson has the Titans selecting Volunteers wide receiver Chris Brazzell with the No. 35 overall pick (round two).
Not everyone is that high on Brazzell, as some mock drafts have the former Vol falling to the bottom of the third round.
Former Tennessee defensive back turned analyst Charles Davis, however, is among those who believe Brazzell could sneak into the first round conversation.
“Chris Brazzell, I think everyone expected him to be fast,” said Davis last month. “I got a couple of texts that all of them essentially said, ‘Didn’t know he was that fast.’ I think it was 4.37 at his height. So a lot of guys with his height, we’re used to what we call build up speed. They get faster as you go along. And when you’re running the 40, that means you’re probably a 4.5 guy — because you don’t get the quickness out of the gate. But not this young man (Brazzell).
“Those long legs were picking them up and putting them down. But they were doing it so smoothly that you went, ‘Whoa.’ And so guess what? There’s discussion, if we have a run on receivers, that he could be in that mix. The first round is not out of line for him. It’s not expected, but it’s not out of line.”
Where Tennessee Vols WR Chris Brazzell lands in ESPN’s latest mock draft
ESPN’s Mel Kiper, Jordan Reid, Matt Miller, and Field Yates put out a new mock draft on Thursday, and they also have Brazzell going in the second round.
The quartet of ESPN analysts rotated picks in this mock draft. Kiper is the analyst that mocked Brazzell to the Pittsburgh Steelers with the No. 53 overall pick.
“Not enough value on the QB3 candidates here, so I’m going to continue building up the rest of the [Steelers] offense,” wrote Kiper. “Brazzell is 6-foot-4 with 4.37 speed and really good hands. DK Metcalf, Michael Pittman Jr. and Brazzell could be a dangerous pass-catching trio.”
Brazzell has an elite (and rare) size/speed combination. It wouldn’t be a surprise if a team falls in love with him and selects the former Vol in the late first round.
Former Super Bowl MVP leaves no doubt on how he feels about Tennessee Vols QB Joey Aguilar as an NFL draft prospect
Tennessee Vols quarterback Joey Aguilar was hoping to return to Rocky Top in 2026, but a judge denied his request. Aguilar hopes to be selected the 2026 NFL Draft, though opinions are mixed on where he’ll be selected.
