2027 five-star running back David Gabriel Georges gave Tennessee head coach Josh Heupel plenty to smile about on Friday night.

Gabriel Georges, who committed to the Vols in July, made a splash on his first touch in Baylor School’s scrimmage against Buford.

The Quebec native scored on a 54-yard run on his first carry of the game.

Gabriel Georges’ run was so impressive that even a referee was stunned.

As one ref was trailing the play down the sideline on DGG’s TD run , he looked back and said “dear Lord, that kid is special!” …ya think?!?

By the way, shoutout to Hargis, who had to briefly leave the stadium and run up a hill just to get enough signal to tweet the highlight of Gabriel Georges’ run.

Terrible, and I do mean absolutely T-U-R-R-I-B-L-E internet connection down inside the bowl of Buford’s stadium, so most likely will just wait til after the game to tweet most highlights…ran outside the stadium and up a hill to get enough service to send the DGG run earlier 🤬

That certainly won’t be the last highlight we see from Gabriel Georges this fall.

A lot of high school kids are going to have some fun stories to tell in the future about trying to tackle the stud running back.
