Sportsbook gives a notable puncher’s chance to Carson Beck to do something extraordinary in 2026
The former Miami Hurricanes QB has better odds than some might expect to do something special for the Arizona Cardinals in 2026.
Carson Beck had quite the day for himself on the playing surface of State Farm Stadium back in January. Four months later, he’s now a member of the NFL team who occupies it as their home field.
And one oddsmaker things the Arizona Cardinals’ newest quarterback could have a shot at claiming one of the league’s top honors — Offensive Rookie of the Year.
DraftKings Sportsbook has released its odds for the award, and Beck checks in with the seventh best odds (+1500) and second best for a quarterback.
DraftKings Sportsbook has Arizona rookie QB Carson Beck with the seventh best odds to win NFL OROY award
Beck was drafted by the Cardinals last weekend with the first pick of the third round (No. 65 overall). The second quarterback taken in the draft, Beck proved that his decision to transfer to Miami after the 2024 season was a wise one.
He led the potent Hurricanes’ offense to the team’s first-ever College Football Playoff wins. Miami defeated Texas A&M in the first round, Ohio State in the Cotton Bowl, and Ole Miss in the Fiesta Bowl to advance to the national championship game. And in the Canes’ 31-27 win over the Rebels in Glendale, Beck earned offensive MVP honors with three total touchdowns, including a three-yard run in the final seconds for the winning score.
There’s plenty for Beck to improve upon, as he had his faults during the year, with all three of Miami’s losses ending with Beck interceptions. But the physical tools are there, and the opportunity is also right in front of him in Arizona, with Jacoby Brissett, Gardner Minshew, and Kedon Slovis serving as competition.
It won’t be easy for Beck to star early in 2026, as Brissett is still an effective starter, but at least one oddsmaker feels good about the former Hurricane continuing his trend of surprising folks in 2026.
