There is a discussion surrounding the Chiefs big win over the Buffalo Bills in the divisional round that is annoying Chiefs fans. Of course, as the losing team usually does, Bills fans are complaining about something.

But first, let’s do a little recap on what was one of the best games we have seen in a while. This was, without a doubt, the best game ever played at Arrowhead stadium. Both teams dueled. Both quarterbacks played out of their minds. And both teams had a chance to win at some point during this game.

Bills fans upset Chiefs got a chance, they did not

Instead of complaining about their coach electing not to squib kick, the Bills Mafia is upset that Josh Allen did not get a chance in overtime.

Here is the thing about the overtime rule. Fans will say that Josh Allen did not get a chance to win the game, but that is just not right. Josh Allen, like Patrick Mahomes, had a chance to win the game and had a chance to win it in regulation. It is his fault, like the rest of the teams, that the Bills were even in overtime. If you don’t allow the Chiefs to score in regulation, and tie the game, you are never in that position.

This conversation goes back to the 2018 season when it was the Chiefs on the brunt side of this whole ordeal. As a matter of fact, the Chiefs put in a proposal in 2019 to change the rules of overtime. That proposal was in fact denied.

In 2019, when the Chiefs lost the coin flip to the New England Patriots in the AFC Championship, no one felt sorry for them. The main reason, was because the Chiefs were down by 30 anyways, and ended up coming back. If they were never in that situation, it would not be a big deal.
