5-star RB David Gabriel Georges dropped a strong statement about his commitment to Tennessee with signing day just 4 months away
2027 five-star running back David Gabriel Georges announced his commitment to the Tennessee Volunteers on July 22.
2027 five-star running back David Gabriel Georges committed to Tennessee on July 22, but he won’t officially be locked in with the Vols until the early signing period begins in early December.
That means things could always change between now and then.
Fortunately for Tennessee, it sounds like Gabriel Georges isn’t entertaining the idea of flipping his commitment.
The five-star recruit told Rivals this week that he’s not talking to other schools and that he’s focused on his senior season at Baylor School.
“I’m not doing anything with anyone else now,” said Gabriel-Georges. “I’m just talking to Tennessee. My commitment is to Tennessee and now I am just focused on Baylor.”
Vols fans can exhale after hearing that.
David Gabriel Georges kicked off his senior season with a bang
Gabriel Georges received two carries this past Friday in a scrimmage against Buford — one of the top high school teams in the nation — and he made quite an impression on both.
The Quebec native made several defenders miss on his first carry of the game and took it 54 yards for a touchdown.
On Gabriel Georges’ other touch, he carried nearly the entire Buford defense for 10ish yards before he was finally taken down.
I’m sure some other programs — such as Ohio State or Ole Miss — will check in with Gabriel Georges this fall, but it sounds like those attempts will be futile. He’s all Vol.
