From Baker Mayfield to Brady Quinn, there's a long list of college football quarterbacks who have complimented the loudness of Neyland Stadium.
Tennessee Vols fans can now add Florida Gators quarterback DJ Lagway to that list.
During the Tampa Sports Collectors Expo earlier this month, Lagway was asked which stadium he’s played in had the most energy.
"I would say besides the Swamp, I would say definitely Neyland Stadium — Tennessee," said Lagway. "It was rocking over there."
Lagway finished the Gators' 23-17 overtime loss to the Vols in Neyland last season, throwing for 98 yards, one touchdown, and one interception.
It'll be interesting to see what Lagway's thoughts are after the 2025 season as he'll get to experience a couple of electric SEC environments for the first time — specifically at LSU and at Texas A&M.
Lagway, by the way, wasn't the only athlete to compliment Neyland Stadium.
Gators linebacker Aaron Chiles also singled out Neyland.
"The loudest stadium with the most energy is probably Tennessee, for sure," said Chiles. "At night, yep, Tennessee. And we went to OT."
Neyland has been electric during the Josh Heupel era. And for good reason — the Vols have only lost one game in Neyland (Georgia in 2023) over the last three seasons.
