The Tennessee Vols are hoping to end a 10 game losing streak in Gainesville this weekend against the Florida Gators.

Tennessee’s last win in the Swamp came in 2003.

The Gators are 3-7 this season after firing head coach Billy Napier in October. But despite the program being down right now, there’s little doubt that Florida’s players will show up for the matchup against the Volunteers — records go out the window when these two teams get together.

Florida linebacker Aaron Chiles says he’s looking forward to making it 11 straight wins over Tennessee in the Swamp

Florida linebacker Aaron Chiles met with reporters on Monday and he said that he’s looking forward to making it 11 straight wins over Tennessee in the Swamp.

“Going there (Knoxville) and losing in OT (last season), it was tough,” said Chiles. “But I understand that we’ve won 10 straight at home. So that’s the standard that we’re going into this week with. And I’m looking forward to staying to that standard and making it 11 straight.”

“We’re willing to make it personal with it being a rivalry game,” added Chiles. “We’re just trying to go out there and get another win for the seniors and finish the season out strong.”

There’s been some speculation that Florida has “mailed it in” for the season. I think that’s wishful thinking for Vols fans. I’m sure the Gators will be motivated and ready to play their best game of the season when Tennessee comes to the Swamp on Saturday night.
