Former Tennessee Vols quarterback Hendon Hooker is still looking for a new home in the NFL after getting released by the Carolina Panthers earlier this month.

Hooker, a third round selection by the Detroit Lions in the 2023 NFL Draft, spent the first two seasons of his NFL career in Detroit.

The former Vol was released by the Lions in late August.

Hooker has completed six passes for 62 yards since entering the NFL in 2023. The Greensboro, NC native didn’t appear in any regular season games for the Panthers during his time in Carolina.

Hendon Hooker reportedly worked out for the Seattle Seahawks this week

According to KPRC’s Aaron Wilson, the Seattle Seahawks worked out Hooker on Tuesday.

Seattle also worked out former Vols wide receiver Velus Jones Jr on Tuesday (Jones was teammates with Hooker at Tennessee in 2021).

The Seahawks signed Jones to their practice squad after working him out.

We’ll see if the Seahawks make a move with Hooker. It’s worth noting that they haven’t signed any other quarterbacks this week, so a move is still possible.
