Insider details whether it’s believed that David Gabriel Georges has already revealed his decision to Tennessee or Ohio State
2027 five-star running back David Gabriel Georges has reportedly already made his decision, but it’s not known whether the choice is Tennessee on Ohio State.
The uncle of 2027 five-star running back David Gabriel Georges created some fireworks on Monday thanks to some comments to On3.
Gabriel Georges’ uncle told On3 that the five-star recruit has already made his decision ahead of his planned July 22 commitment date.
On3’s Chris Low added that Gabriel Georges is “100 percent comfortable” with his decision.
So if the decision has been made — and that’s still up for debate based on a cryptic tweet from Gabriel Georges — it begs the question: Do the schools know what his decision is?
We don’t know the answer to that question for sure, but VolQuest’s Austin Price believes the answer is no.
“I know what the uncle said yesterday, but in this era, nothing’s [ever] truly done,” said Price on 104.5 The Zone’s Ramon and Will on Tuesday. “They (DGG and his family) may have had a discussion, and he feels good about it, but you have to keep your head down and focused if you’re both schools and keep plugging away here. I don’t think that he’s told either school of his decision, and that means that both [schools] have to continue to recruit at a high pace here for the next 15 days, and we’ll see where the chips fall.”
Even if Gabriel Georges has already made a decision, there’s no rule that says he can’t change his mind — recruits change their minds all the time.
We’ll see what the choice is on July 22, and then it’ll still be a battle to keep Gabriel Georges committed until the early signing period begins in December.
