Tennessee Vols fans receive the prediction they’ve been waiting on for the last few months
It’s prediction SZN, and the Tennessee Volunteers received a prediction on Friday that UT football fans have been waiting on for the last several months.
We’ll see if it means anything in about six weeks, but Tennessee Vols fans got the prediction they’ve been hoping to hear for the last several months on Friday.
The Volunteers are battling the Ohio State Buckeyes for 2027 five-star running back David Gabriel Georges, who is coming off back-to-back official visits to both programs.
Tennessee’s official visit with Gabriel Georges went so well that On3’s Chad Simmons is now predicting that the Vols will land the five-star recruit.
Simmons, though, added that this battle is still expected to come down to the last minute.
“I’m calling my shot with the Volunteers…. This one will go down to the last minute, but Tennessee is trending for David Gabriel-Georges on my end,” wrote Simmons on Friday.
Gabriel Georges is planning to announce his commitment on July 22. His uncle spoke to On3’s Steve Wiltfong earlier this week and noted that the coveted running back won’t enter “decision mode” until he finishes his official visits.
Ole Miss is hosting Gabriel Georges on an official visit this weekend. He’ll then wrap up his visits with a trip to Georgia next weekend. Neither program is viewed as a major threat for Gabriel Georges, but you never say never in this current era of college football.
Gabriel Georges’ family, by the way, says the July 22 commitment date “won’t change”, so fans shouldn’t expect a surprise early decision from the Quebec native.
