Stefon Diggs is an excellent teammate.
The All-Pro wide receiver is back in the national spotlight. This time, for what he was doing with Damar Hamlin over the weekend. Diggs showed up and supported his friend and teammate at a local charity event.
Diggs, for those who may not remember, went viral after Hamlin's traumatic injury. The "diva' was spotted walking into the hospital and even reportedly had an encounter with security since he technically wasn't allowed to get in, being that he's not related to Hamlin.
Diggs had once again gone viral recently for a less-than-stellar situation that happened at Bills camp. After not reporting for the first day of mandatory camp, on top of head coach Sean McDermott saying he was "very concerned," it quickly spread like wildfire across social media.
Since then, Diggs has been passionately defended by his franchise quarterback, the front office, and more teammates than you can count on one hand. Things are good between Diggs and the Buffalo Bills.
During his busy offseason program, Diggs took the time to go out and support Hamlin and his charity at an event in Pittsburgh for the Chasing M's Foundation. According to their website, the Chasing M's Foundation is "dedicated to the development, health, and safety of youth through sports, engagement activities, training, and programming."
Donations skyrocketed for the charity almost immediately after Hamlin was injured. The talented safety helped organize a softball game in which Stefon Diggs was in attendance, along with Dane Jackson and Tavon Austin, current and former members of the Buffalo Bills.
Diggs is a leader on and off the field and this is the type of man he is. Showing up for friends and being there for teammates. Despite the national media making Diggs out to be some type of villain, this is the kind of man the Bills Mafia knows and loves.
The talented receiver, once again, made headlines. This time, for all the right reasons.
