Packers HC Matt LaFleur delivers candid response about his team’s preparation for Week 9 during Halloween celebrations
Matt LaFleur wants a win when he goes trick or treating this year.
Halloween is here, and the NFL rages on. After a bit of a stinker on Thursday Night Football, there’s an intriguing slate ahead for Week 9, and the Green Bay Packers are looking to keep their winning ways alive at home. They’re favorites to win, but the holiday could be a bit of a distraction for some teams who are liked by Vegas on Sunday.
Packers head coach Matt LaFleur is eliminating that potential issue from the slate for Green Bay.
Matt LaFleur isn’t concerned with Halloween festivities before Panthers matchup
When asked about the holiday and how it affects Green Bay’s ways of getting ready for a game this weekend, the packers head coach was clear with his response. He is focused on making sure the Packers beat the Carolina Panthers in Week 9, not the holiday spirit.
That being said, LaFleur’s players aren’t quite as opposed to a bit of holiday fun during their rigorous gridiron schedule.
Packers are embracing the Halloween spirit regardless
Isaiah Neyor posted a comical locker room scene where a “spooky version” of his headshot now sits above his locker area. Even during a time where Green Bay knows their mission for this week against Carolina, plenty of players will definitely enjoy Halloween as much as they can. It lines up tightly to their game on Sunday, considering it’s on a Friday, though.
Make sure to tune in as Green Bay tries to improve to 6-1-1 on the season when they host the Panthers. Jordan Love’s offense fired on all cylinders in Week 8. It will be intriguing to see if they keep up that treat, or it turns into tricks.
