After being ruled out following Friday's practice last week, the Indianapolis Colts are going to wait and see if second-year WR Josh Downs will be able to play in Week 2.
The team is set to hit the road to take on the Green Bay Packers in an attempt to earn their first win of the 2024 season.
Josh Downs' injury status

Downs suffered a high ankle sprain early into training camp, which kept him out of the entire preseason and the team's regular-season opener against the Houston Texans. He was able to return to practice this week, and Colts head coach Shane Steichen is optimistic that the WR will be able to give it a go in Week 2.
This sounds like Downs will at least make the trip to Green Bay to face the Packers. He will likely test out his ankle pre-game before the team makes a final decision on whether or not he will be active. Either way, this is a huge step forward for Downs as he works to get back to 100% after a really strong start to training camp, where he looked on the verge of a huge sophomore season. Downs returning to the lineup would be a big boost for the Colts' passing game, which had a few explosive plays but struggled to get into a consistent rhythm.
