The Kansas City Chiefs have released their second injury report ahead of Week 3 against the Miami Dolphins.

Things continue to trend positively for the Chiefs. While they’re dealing with a few new injuries, everything seems minor at this point. Both injury reports look quite similar to what we saw on Wednesday, with only two changes for each team.

Here’s a quick breakdown of the second Week 3 injury reports for each club. Keep in mind that clubs can add to the injury report through Week 3’s kickoff on Sunday. They will release game status designations on Friday, Sept. 25.

Observations

  • Anudike-Uzomah was limited Wednesday but returned to full participation Thursday. That’s typically a positive sign for availability. His five total pressures through Week 2 rank second on the team, behind DE George Karlaftis.
  • After back-to-back days as a non-participant, you can pencil in Simmons to miss his third consecutive week.
  • Conner’s limited practice is not the same as Sneed and Jones. Those two are more of a veteran rest, while Conner is being eased back in after knee swelling. Without a full practice on Friday, I’d lean toward Conner missing a third consecutive week as well.

Observations

  • The only change to the Dolphins’ report is that WR Ryan Miller was downgraded to a non-participant. It’s something to watch, too, with injuries to WRs Caleb Douglas and Chris Bell.
  • Dolphins rookie WR Chris Bell told reporters that he is fine and expects to play on Sunday. He was limited for his second consecutive practice on Thursday.
