The Kansas City Chiefs practiced indoors due to storms on Thursday.

They’re preparing hard in order to get their first win of the season on Sunday night against the New York Giants, who are also searching for their first victory. Both teams have lengthy injury reports that feature multiple key starters. Let’s examine each one.

Observations:

  • Muasau and Golston’s chances of playing on Sunday are in jeopardy after missing practice for the second straight day. Muasau is a starter and Golston is a backup and key special teams contributor for New York.
  • Thomas, who is one of the more underrated left tackles in the league, was limited yet again on Thursday. He will most likely play, but his status is worth monitoring closely.

Observations:

  • Danna and Fulton were held out of practice for the second consecutive day, signaling their chances of playing on Sunday aren’t great. If they’re able to practice tomorrow, they’ll have a shot.
  • Royals practiced in full on Thursday for the first time since sustaining his knee injury in the middle of preseason. Baring a setback, it appears he will make his regular season debut on Sunday.
  • Taylor was limited due to the team being cautious with his knee on the hard indoor turf. That is something they have done with him dating back to last season. He’ll be good to go on Sunday.
  • Although he was again limited, Thursday’s practice marks the fourth in a row for Worthy dating back to last week. He’ll have a shot to play on Sunday, but it’s not set in stone.
