The Las Vegas Raiders will not have Brock Bowers for their Week 1 game against the Miami Dolphins. That will hurt their chances of success on offense. He is the No. 1 weapon in the offense. However, they have some good news coming in just before the game.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Bowers could be back in Week 2 against the Los Angeles Chargers. After undergoing a meniscus trim Tuesday, the Raiders believe there’s a realistic chance Brock Bowers will miss only one game and return for Week 2 against the Los Angeles Chargers, per sources. The team will see how he’s feeling this week, but a return next week is possible. And that’s great, because this whole situation has been odd, to say the least.

Raiders have handled the Brock Bowers situation weirdly, but it could be good

Reports said this happened last week. However, it wasn’t reported to everyone until a week later, which was this week. Now, of course, the Raiders are being asked when this injury happened. People want to know why it was reported only now. On Friday, head coach Klint Kubiak avoided the question a bit.

“It all happened pretty quick. I don’t remember exactly what day, but yeah, we got it cleaned up,” Kubiak told reporters.

Then they asked about Bowers’s timeline and when he would return. Reports say “1-2 weeks.” But, of course, the reporters are going to ask because it’s their job.

“I’m not going to talk about timelines,” Kubiak exclaimed.

This can be a good thing. Kubiak is not a guy who’s going to say much. That’s not necessarily because he’s rude or anything like that. But the more information out there about his team, the more predictable he is likely to be. He is keeping everything under wraps, and you have to respect that about the rookie head coach.
