The way some in the media are ranking Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson, you’d think he was a pariah. The latest batch of ratings continues to insult Jefferson, and it comes from the Madden video game. They ranked him as the fifth-best wide receiver in the NFL.

It’s crazy how many people have forgotten how great Jefferson really is, and he’s about to show them why they are wrong.

Justin Jefferson disrespected by Madden rankings

If you want to rank Jefferson behind Ja’Marr Chase of the Cincinnati Bengals, it’s a fair discussion point. He’s been an incredible player during his five seasons in the NFL, and possesses something that is better than Jefferson: going deep. Chase is arguably the best deep-ball receiver in the game today.

Outside of Chase, you have Jaxon Smith-Njigba of the Seattle Seahawks who was incredible in 2025. Even so, he doesn’t have the profile or track record to be better than Jefferson yet. It’s something worth monitoring, but he’s not there.

Now, Puka Nacua of the Los Angeles Rams is an interesting one, but he’s not better than Jefferson, who has a league-leading 53.4% double-team rate. Plus, you’d have to look at the injury history for Nacua, and that alone should keep him under Jefferson.

The other player above him is Amon-Ra St. Brown. There isn’t anything about his game that is better than Jefferson, and he shouldn’t come close to being considered.

Make no mistake about it, Jefferson is aware of this, as he’s a past member of the 99 club himself. He will remember this and showcase why he shouldn’t be overlooked.
