While the New England Patriots will not play in Foxborough this weekend, Gillette Stadium will still be packed.
Army-Navy will play their annual game at Gillette Stadium on Saturday, and a few members of the Patriots organization are very excited for this matchup. One of them being head coach Bill Belichick.
And he will have a very special role prior to the game on Sunday.
College GameDay is headed to New England this week, and Belichick will be a special guest on the program. Not just that, but he will be the guest picker, they announced.
He will join Rece Davis, Desmond Howard, Pat McAfee, Kirk Herbstreit and Lee Corso.
And nobody should be surprised when Belichick ends up picking Navy.
The Patriots head coach grew up in Annapolis, with his father having served in the Navy during World War II. He went on to coach football for Navy for more than 30 years.
Along with Belichick, Patriots long snapper Joe Cardona has ties to Navy, having graduated from the Naval Academy.
So I think this makes it clear that Belichick will be in attendance at the game.
