Eagles can make son of hometown hero’s dreams come true during 2026 NFL Draft

A 2026 NFL Draft prospect with ties to the Eagles organization would probably love to land in Philadelphia. Will the Eagles make it happen when the draft rolls around? They’re showing interest in him already.

The NFL Draft is an experience unlike any other for young athletes on the gridiron. For the Philadelphia Eagles, a recent interaction with a 2026 draft prospect may spotlight an opportunity to continue a family bloodline in green.

Eagles visit with Penn State center Nick Dawkins

According to John Clark, the Eagles visited with Penn State offensive lineman Nick Dawkins. He is the son of former Philadelphia 76ers center Darryl Dawkins. Yes, that last name holds even more standing in Philly as well.

Nick is also the cousin of Eagles franchise legend Brian Dawkins. The safety is one of the most well-respected defensive backs in team history.

“He says Buffalo Bills offensive tackle Dion Dawkins is a cousin, former Duke guard Andre Dawkins, too. He believes he’s related to former Philadelphia Eagles safety Brian Dawkins “somewhere down the line.”

Dawkins clearly already has strong ties to the city of Philadelphia and is determined to create an NFL career for himself.

The offensive lineman is expected to go on day three of this year’s draft is he gets selected. If not, he could always sign with Philly as an undrafted free agent as well. They would almost certainly have an upper hand in that scenario due to his family’s history with the region.
