Brandon Aiyuk fought through a shoulder injury during the 49ers’ Week 2 win over the Rams, but it’s still not clear whether he will play in Week 3.
The Niners released their final injury report ahead of Thursday’s clash with the Giants, with both wide receiver Aiyuk and cornerback Ambry Thomas listed as questionable.
Aiyuk made a red-hot start to the season, making eight catches for 129 yards and two touchdowns in the Week 1 win over the Steelers.
He was held to three catches for 43 yards in Week 2 because of the injury, which he suffered on the first offensive series while going to the ground following a reception.
Thomas was in and out of the Rams game with a knee injury.

Injury Report Observations
Aiyuk is clearly trending in the right direction after being listed as DNP on Monday's estimated report. The 49ers won't want to risk a more serious injury, but they do not have a wideout from lower down the depth chart who offers the same variety in their skill set as Aiyuk does from the X receiver position.
The long break the 49ers have before their Week 4 clash with the Cardinals may influence San Francisco's decision. If the Niners do take a chance with Aiyuk on a short week, he will at least have an extended period in which to recover.
Speaking to KNBR, general manager John Lynch indicated Aiyuk could be a game-time decision.
“I think with Brandon, with the Thursday night games, they’re quick turnarounds,” said Lynch. “So he’s clearly got something irritated in his chest, shoulder area.
"He's working really hard to try to get ready. And with these Thursday night games, you take it all the way down there. You don't have to make your inactives until Thursday."
Thomas has played an unexpectedly integral role in the 49er secondary as he has taken snaps at outside corner on nickel downs when Deommodore Lenoir has kicked inside.
But the Niners may be more willing to rest him following Isaiah Oliver's strong performance at nickel corner in Week 2. The 49ers also signed Anthony Brown, who can play inside and out, to their 53-man roster this week.
