The Los Angeles Angels head to New York to take on the New York Yankees in game one of their series on Monday night. The New York Yankees will send Michael King to the mound. He has a 0-3 record and a 4.05 ERA. Dylan Bundy will go for the Los Angeles Angels. He has a record of 1-7 and a ERA of 6.68. Both teams come into the  series dropping their last series, but we’re backing the team who has had success against the other pitcher.

The Pick: Yankees ML (-158)

The Why: Yankees vs Bundy

Dylan Bundy has not been good this year at all. In his three starts this month, he has given up 10 earned runs in 12 innings pitched. On the road this year, he is 0-5 and has an ERA of 6.97.His lone win came against a Royals team that does not have the talent in the lineup that the Yankees have.

The Yankees use to dominate Bundy when he pitched for the Orioles. When Bundy pitched in Yankee Stadium, he is 0-3 and a ERA of 7.91. Aaron Judge has had great success off of Bundy. In 18 at bats, he has hit three homers and has a slugging percentage of .722. At home this year, Aaron Judge is hitting .283 and has an OPS of .843. This Yankees lineup probably has the most talent of any in the majors, and they produce a lot more at home. Giancarlo Stanton, DJ LeMahieu and Gary Sanchez are all hitting well at home of late.

We’re going too roll with the Yankees to beat up Bundy in game one. Michael King has been okay in his starts in place of Cory Kluber this year. The good thing is, he won’t have to go too deep because the Yankees have such a good bullpen. Also, they Yankees should be able to get to Bundy early and often. Take the Yankees at home.

Trends We’re Betting On

Yankees are 14-4 SU in the last 18 home games vs the Angels

Yankees are 4-1 SU in the last 5 home games

Angels are 1-5 in their last 6 road games

Angels are 2-9 in the last 11 vs AL East

Yesterday’s Pick: Giants ML

The Giants just simply couldn’t touch Irvin. Once they got guys on base, they juts hit into double plays. Back today.
