Game one between the Brooklyn Nets and the Milwaukee Bucks was an ugly one for the Bucks. They played will in the first quarter but other than Giannis Antetokounmpo that was the extent of their highlights. James Harden left less than a minute into the game and is already ruled out for game 2 tonight. The Bucks did not shoot the ball well at all in game one, we’re expecting a much better shooting display tonight.

The Pick: Bucks +1 (-110)

The Why: Bucks Shooting

In game one, to say the Bucks had an awful shooting performance from three would be an understatement. They shot 20% on 6-30 from three. That performance was similar to game one of the Miami series where they shot 16% from three. The Bucks rank sixth in the league in three-point shooting percentage at 38%. They will shoot close to that percentage tonight.

Giannis Antetokounmpo was unstoppable scoring 34 points and grabbing 11 boards. He was the lone bright spot from the Bucks on offense. Khris Middleton had a bad night scoring only 13 points on 26% shooting. We know what we’re going to the from Giannis. It’s up to the rest of the role players like Middleton, P.J. Tucker, Jrue Holiday and Brook Lopez to step up their play offensively. I bet they have a much better performance tonight.

For the Brooklyn Nets they will be without James Harden. I get that they didn’t need him in game one, but I think that has everything to do with the Bucks shooting the three ball poorly. With Harden out, Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving are more than capable of carrying the load offensively, but their minutes are going to go up so I wonder if they could have some fatigue down the stretch.

All in all, we’re going to take the free point with the Bucks. This seems very similar to game one vs the Heat. In game two, the Bucks took it to the Heat and dominated them. They won’t dominate the Nets tonight but I trust Giannis and Middleton to get the job done in game two and tie this series up at one. Expect a much better shooting display from them tonight. We’re rolling with the Bucks.

Trends We’re Betting On

Bucks are 12-3 SU in their last 15 games

Bucks are 8-2 SU in their last 10 games in Brooklyn

Bucks are 6-4 ATS last 10 vs Nets

Yesterday’s Pick: 76ers -3.5

Did not expect this to happen. When we made the pick Joel Emiiid was still out but before the game it was announced he would be playing and I thought this pick was a lock. Trae Young went crazy in the first half and the 76ers could never dig themselves out of the hole. On to the next.

AtoZ Pick Of The Day Record: 4-2
