Yet again, this Utah Jazz and Los Angeles Clippers series has changed. The Utah Jazz took the first two games at home thanks to Donovan Mitchell. Then the Los Angeles Clippers took the next to on their home floor thanks to Kawhi Leonard. However, due to a knee injury Kawhi George will miss game 5 and maybe the rest of the series.

The Pick: Jazz -7 (-110)

The Why: Jazz Back Home

I’ll be honest, I already had the Jazz -2.5 before the Kawhi Leonard news came out and I am still taking them. Leonard is what makes this clippers team tick. He was averaging 27.3 PPG in the series and looked to be in total control after the last two games. Now it is all up to Paul George. He is also averaging 27.3 PPG but on the road in this series he is averaging 23.5 PPG and has struggled shooting the ball. The Jazz have the number one defense in the NBA and I expect them to key in on Paul George tonight and force the Clippers role players to beat them.

It is no secret the Jazz are much better at home and that has shown this series. In game two, the Jazz shot 51.3% from three and 55% from the floor. Donovan Mitchell has been hard to stop all series averaging 37.3 PPG. With Kawhi’s absence tonight, it changes all the matchups for the Clippers and I expect Mitchell will take advantage of that early and often. Being back at home will be a welcome sight for rolls players like Joe Ingels, Jordan Clarkson and Bojan Bogdanovic.

We’re going to roll with the Jazz to win this one going away. The Jazz are significantly better at home than they are on the road having a ATS record of 26-13-2 at home. Donovan Mitchell should explode offensively and I don’t think Paul George can carry the team on the road as the number one option. Take the Jazz.

Trends We’re Betting On

Jazz are 6-0 ATS last 6 as a playoff favorite

Jazz are 5-2-1 ATS last 8 games

Clippers are 1-4-1 ATS last 5 games as a road underdog

Jazz are 5-1 ATS last 6 Wednesday games

Yesterday’s Pick: Nets/Bucks Under 219.5 ❌

Tell me if you’ve read this before. This was another close loss. Kevin Durant put up a crazy performance and hit shot after shot down the stretch. We have had close loss after close loss. This will turn back to the winning side soon. Time to get some wins back.
