The Steelers have begun the season with two tough road wins and are atop the AFC North at 2-0. Their defense has allowed the second least amount of points and fifth least amount of total yards in the NFL so far. Quarterback Justin Fields has done a nice job managing the offense and making plays with his legs. Fields is expected to start this game as Russell Wilson continues to recover from his calf injury.
The Chargers are also off to a 2-0 start after convincing wins over the Las Vegas Raiders and Carolina Panthers. L.A. ranks second in the league in total rushing yards and in total defense. New coach Jim Harbaugh has kept his promise of making the Chargers a physical, run-first team. Rookie offensive tackle Joe Alt is off to a dominant start and running back J.K. Dobbins leads the league in rushing yards.
As impressive as the Chargers have been, they've played pretty low tier competition. A road game in Pittsburgh will be a huge test, and while I'm sure they'll play a tough game, I like the Steelers to win and cover at -1.5. I would also hammer the under of 35.5 total points with these two dominant defenses.
