Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs have a not-so-fun decision to make following the latest news on one of their 2026 defensive lineman commits.
According to Charles Chaney of Butler County Times-Gazette, three-star commit Seven Cloud has been charged with domestic battery in Butler County, Kansas.
"On April 20, Butler County Sheriff’s office were called where Cloud was arrested after an altercation with his significant other," Chaney wrote. He bonded out after the police alleged Cloud did knowingly cause physical contact with another person, in a rude, angry or insulting manner."
Chaney informed that Cloud appeared via Zoom in front of a judge on Monday, July 14, and was formally charged with domestic battery, a Class B misdemeanor.
This is not the first domestic violence incident that Cloud has been charged with. He was also charged back in March when he destroyed his significant other's phone.
Cloud is expected back in court on Sept. 22, at 9 a.m, ET. In the meantime, however, Cloud has been ordered to have zero contact with the alleged victim.
Cloud, 6-foot-4 and 300 pounds from Powder Springs, GA, originally committed to the Bulldogs out of McEachern High School in 2021. However, his journey took a detour through the JUCO route. After spending the past couple of seasons developing at Butler Community College, he recommitted in December 2024.
He tallied 5.5 sacks and 48 tackles, including 9.5 tackles for loss at Butler last fall. He also had three pass breakups, two forced fumbles, and one recovery.
Cloud is nationally recognized as the No. 6 junior college prospect and ranks third among JUCO defensive linemen in the 2026 class, according to the On3 Industry Ranking.
