Dan Lanning and the Oregon Ducks are on the way to another elite recruiting class, and one of their top commits is doing the good work to try and strengthen the haul.
Tradarian Ball, one of the best running backs recruits in the country, is fully locked in with the Ducks. After offensive lineman Immanuel Iheanacho, the No. 2 ranked recruit in the 2026 class, took a visit to Eugene this last weekend, Ball was doing his best to help in with the recruitment.
A couple weeks ago, Iheanacho was asked by On3 about his upcoming visit and about what Oregon is building.
“Trying to see how [offensive line] Coach [A'lique] Terry actually coaches,” Iheanacho told On3 regarding what he wants to get out of the trip. “I know Coach Terry has products like Josh Conerly and those guys on there. Also want to see how the players respond to tough coaching and how generally a practice is run.”
After a weekend in Eugene, it will be interesting to hear the next time Iheanacho speaks about Eugene what he thought about the practice environment and about Coach Terry's style with the offensive line group.
Oregon has had a bit of momentum with offensive linemen in recent years, sending several through to the NFL that carry plenty of ability as starters. With development as a key element to recruiting decisions, along with an opportunity to earn playing time as a starter potentially by the time he's a sophomore, the chance is there for Iheanacho to pave a wide path to reach his massive upside.
He has the huge frame and fluidity to be a potential high first round draft pick in the future, and the impact that he could make over the next few years at Oregon could be huge. He's one of the top targets that Oregon will strive hard to get across the finish line.
