Another season of college baseball is coming to a close in Omaha, Nebraska. The Arkansas Razorbacks will be involved, too.

The "Oma-Hogs" have made their return to the College World Series following a Super Regionals win over the Tennessee Volunteers.

Razorbacks as the favorite to win CWS

According to FanDuel Sportsbook, Arkansas is the favorite to win the national title with odds at +195. The LSU Tigers, their first-round foe and SEC rival, are second in odds to win it all at +240. No other team has better odds than +500.

Arkansas is also the favorite to win the title on DraftKings Sportsbook. They hold the same odds on that platform as well.

There is simply no doubt about it.

The Razorbacks and Tigers are the two most talented rosters remaining in the postseason around college baseball. They're both coming off dominant Super Regional wins as well.

Staying hot in Omaha

I talked to fellow A to Z Sports contributor Justin Churchill about how well the Razorbacks are playing on the diamond down the stretch. This feels like the perfect opportunity for Dave Van Horn to get his first national championship win as the head coach for Arkansas.

The Arkansas Razorbacks are red hot right now, and they have no plans of slowing down. But, let's throw it back to Hoover when they played in the SEC tournament, and they struggled mightily. Their SEC play hasn't been the most promising this season. And, it feels like what happened in the tournament, could happen again at any given moment, because that is the reality of college baseball, especially when you get to the College World Series.

It's all about who can be the best team for that series, which is why teams like Murray State still have a chance to win it all, despite being a smaller school. If the Hogs want to win it all, they will have to keep their pitching hot. That swagger and confidence they play with says it all. The only thing is, they have the worst luck in Omaha this time around, where their first game is against the team that many are saying is better than Arkansas in LSU.

They can win it all, but their pitching needs to be on point, and they absolutely have to beat LSU.

— Justin Churchill

That last statement is a big one for the Razorbacks.

Getting off to a strong start in Omaha is nearly a requirement if you want to hoist the trophy at the end of the tournament. Not to mention, sending another clear contender for the title to the loser's bracket immediately would be incredibly valuable for whoever wins Arkansas/LSU.

No matter what – there's legit pressure on the Razorbacks this time around because they are the favorites to take it home. They've gotta find success with plenty of eyes on them.
