Georgia Bulldogs head coach Kirby Smart prides himself on having a solid special-teams unit, and it's going to be good for years to come at this rate.
This past week, Georgia not only landed the nation's No. 1 kicker in Harran Zureikat but also the No. 1 punt returner, Wade Register.
Zukeikat, the top-ranked punter from Fox Chapel, Pennsylvania in the 2026 class and he’s got the numbers to back it up lit up the stat sheet at Kohl’s camp, posting 20 points on field goals, an impressive 110.10 points on kickoffs, and 115.71 in punting. He also drilled 61-yard field goals in practice, and his scores topped several D1 kickers from the class of 2025.
"Beyon blessed GO DAWGS!!" Zurkeikat wrote on X/Twitter.
Meanwhile, Register, the top-ranked punter in the 2026 class from Dublin, Georgia, averaged nearly 48 yards per punt and even launched one 69 yards last fall. He also nailed 37 touchbacks on 50 kickoffs and went 31-for-32 on extra points. At national Kohl’s kicking camps, he posted some of the highest scores in the country with hang times topping 4.7 seconds and punts reaching 74 yards.

For now, Georgia’s special teams are led by sophomore kicker Peyton Woodring and Australian punter Brett Thorson, but with new talent on the way, the future is looking even brighter.
