Recruiting has been going very well for the Florida Gators as of late. Head coach Billy Napier has seven recruits committed in the class of 2026 and this weekend serves as big recruiting weekend.
There are going to be multiple repeat visitors, including four-star safety Kaiden Hall who committed earlier this month and four-star running back Carsyn Baker who is taking an unofficial visit one month after having an official visit.
This weekend will serve as another chance for the Gators to end up convincing a large group of recruits to commit to the program, and one recruit is arguably more important than others.
Four-star offensive tackle Tyler Chukuyem from Douglasville, Georgia is on campus this weekend for the first time, and it's his last visit ahead of his commitment date on Monday, June 16th. He will be deciding between the Gators, Florida State, Ole Miss, and Cincinnati.
Chukuyem is a solid recruit being the 26th-ranked offensive tackle and 32nd recruit in the state of Georgia per On3 Sports. He hasn't taken many visits, with just two other official visits to Ole Miss (May 30th) and Cincinnati (June 6th).
The Gators have been going after a lot of high-upside tackles as of late, including landing three-star Chancellor Campbell, who is a whopping 6'8 and 310 lbs. Napier has targeted very tall and long offensive tackles, and Chukuyem fits the bill.
This is going to be a really important weekend for the Gators, and Chukuyem is just the latest in that group.
