Things are starting to heat up for the Ohio State Buckeyes a bit with the class of 2026.
Ohio State has five commitments in the class of 2026 and the most recent was four-star OT Maxwell Riley, who is an in-state player that the Buckeyes had to have.
The Buckeyes already have two five-star commitments for the class of 2027 with WR Jamier Brown and QB Brady Edmunds. Ohio State has quite a few offers out in the class already and they are recruiting some others.
Brother of an Ohio State Buckeye set to be a 2027 visitor
Trey Haddad is a 2027 wide receiver from St. Ignatius High School in Cleveland, Ohio. The high school sophomore wide receiver is the brother of Ohio State freshman Cody Haddad, who was a 2025 commitment from St. Ignatius.
Cody was a three-star safety recruit with over 20 offers. Other major programs like Nebraska, Michigan State, Missouri, and Iowa were schools in on him. The 6-foot-1, 175-pound safety was a part of the top-five recruiting class for 2025 that signed.
Trey is a 6-foot-1, 180-pound safety who doesn’t have any official offers yet, but is receiving plenty of Division I interest. In addition to visiting Ohio State on March 29, Trey will visit Cincinnati the day before.
St. Ignatius pumps out a ton of talent and the Haddad brothers are another example of that. Trey’s recruitment will be one to watch as he becomes an upperclassman in high school.
Ohio State is off to a great start in 2027 with two five-star commitments. The direction for the class will become more clear as Ohio State fills up the 2026 haul.
