Oregon's 2026 recruiting class just got even better. One of their top commits, a top-5 running back in the country in Tradarian Ball, has shut down his recruitment. He's not taking any other visits, and he's fully locked in with Dan Lanning and the Ducks.
With the top tight end in the country and fellow Oregon commit Kendre Harrison doing the same, two of the top weapons that the Ducks have their eyes on seem all but locked in at this stage in the process.
Ball has been committed to the Ducks since last July, and it's never really felt like that was in jeopardy. He's a smaller running back, listed at 5-foot-9 170 lbs, but he'll have plenty of opportunity to add muscle in the coming years.
He's elusive, explosive, and is a strong pass catcher. Last year as a junior, the Texas product totaled almost 2,000 scrimmage yards.
At last summer's Saturday Night Live event in Eugene, Ball showcased that he has plenty of ability to line up all over the formation, running great routes and making a highlight reel leaping grab. For a running back, it was crazy impressive.
Oregon has two key building blocks on offense locked in with plenty of time to add more talent in the 2026 recruiting class, most notably in their chase for the country's top quarterback in Jared Curtis, who will be choosing between Oregon and Georgia on May 5. Also in on top offensive linemen Jackson Cantwell, the top overall recruit in next year's class, along with Immanuel Iheanacho, the Ducks have a chance to land an incredible haul.
Dan Lanning and his team will continue to build on the success that they've had in recent years, and locking down Ball as an explosive weapon of the future is a great addition on the recruiting trail.
