Jaxson Dart continues to be one of the more polarizing prospects in the 2025 NFL Draft cycle as analysts seem to disagree on where he truly belongs among top quarterback prospects. However, as the NFL Draft approaches, it's becoming more clear that several NFL teams are extremely high on the former Ole Miss star and he's likely going to be selected early.
Where will Jaxson Dart land exactly? That's still up for debate, but if we look at recent mock draft trends it's clear there's a real shot he sneaks into the first round. And if his Ole Miss Pro Day was any indication, there are a few specific teams who might be looking to draft him there.

Dart began NFL Draft season as a firm "day two" quarterback prospect for many, but after the masses started to realize just how special his final season for Ole Miss was, it seemed many began to come around on him. Then after impressive showings at the Senior Bowl and the NFL Combine some significant intel began to leak about how high some teams were on Dart (A to Z Sports confirmed he is QB2 for multiple NFL teams). From there his projected draft stock skyrocketed to where he is now considered a consensus late round one projection.
According to Ian Rapoport (among others) a handful of top staffers from quarterback-needy teams were on-site for the Ole Miss Pro Day, making sure to get an up-close look at Jaxson Dart. And according to Rap, those three teams might be looking to trade up for Dart when the time comes.
Kevin Stefanski, the Cleveland Browns head coach. Shea Tierney the New York Giants quarterbacks coach. Kellen Moore, the New Orleans Saints head coach. All three were on site and mentioned by Rapoport as three possible trade-up teams who could look to grab Jaxson Dart in late round one:
"If he is quarterback three I wouldn't be surprised at all if he's a first rounder. And then those teams I mentioned before could be looking to trade back into [round] one to come get him."
Many experts believe Cam Ward (QB, Miami) is going to be the first overall pick to the Tennessee Titans. Shedeur Sanders (QB, Colorado) is expected to be the second quarterback off the board by most as well.
However, A to Z Sports has confirmed with multiple NFL teams that Jaxson Dart is actually their QB2. And while that might surprise some, his elite 95th%+ Scheme Adjusted Pass Efficiency profile is right on par with typical first round NFL Draft capital for quarterbacks. On top of that, Dart finished last season ranked Top 3 in passer rating, adjusted yards per pass attempt, EPA per play, QBR, yards per play and more.
Thus, it shouldn't be that surprising to realize that the Browns, Giants, and Saints could all three be interested in landing Jaxson Dart somewhere in the back end of round one (if not before). There has also been some speculation surrounding Dart possibly landing with the Pittsburgh Steelers at pick 21, and that's become the most frequently mock drafted spot for him land in recent weeks.
If one of the three quarterback-needy teams who had significant presence at Jaxson Dart's Pro Day want to make sure they land the former Ole Miss phenom they may need to make sure they trade ahead of Pittsburgh.
Regardless of where Jaxson Dart lands, it's good to see many people finally appreciating how special a talent that he is. Hopefully Dart finds even greater success in the NFL than he found with Ole Miss.
