The Kansas City Chiefs continue to shape their 2025 90-man offseason roster after losing to the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LIX.
They've now re-signed 13 players from their practice squad with a big wave of signings on Tuesday, the addition of TE Anthony Firkser on Wednesday, and their latest signing on Thursday.
The Chiefs re-signed RB Keaontay Ingram to the practice squad. A former 2022 sixth-round draft pick by the Arizona Cardinals who played college football for Texas and USC, Ingram has been on the practice squad in Kansas City since November of 2023. Right now, he's proven to be an acceptable break-glass-in-case-of-emergency option for the Chiefs.
After RB Isiah Pacheco's early-season injury, he was promoted to the 53-man roster from the practice squad this season. Once he got up to speed, he was promptly replaced by RB Kareem Hunt. I'd expect a similar role for Ingram in 2025, as he knows the system after two seasons.
This roster move leaves these five players as the only ones left unsigned from the Chiefs' practice squad:
- LB Swayze Bozeman
- LB Cole Christiansen
- CB Nic Jones
- CB Steven Nelson
- WR Montrell Washington
