Just yesterday former Georgia Bulldogs quarterback Carson Beck flipped his decision to declare for the 2025 NFL Draft and instead entered the NCAA transfer portal.

And less than 24 hours later, Beck has a new home.

Beck announced via his personal Instagram account that he has officially committed to the University of Miami.

Miami was Beck's rumored destination for several reasons, one of which his girlfriend, Hanna Cavinder, plays for the Hurricanes women's basketball team.

Cavinder took to her own social media to react to Beck's commitment to Miami.

"It's a great day to be a Miami Hurricane," she wrote on X/Twitter

While Cavinder surely had some influence, the bigger reasons Beck chose the Canes likely had to do with the final NIL offer and the fact that they are losing starting quarterback Cam Ward to the 2025 NFL Draft.

Beck was injured in Georgia's SEC championship win over Texas and was ruled out of the Bulldogs' playoff run. He finished the 2024 season tossing for 3,485 passing yards, 28 touchdowns, and 12 interceptions.

Beck underwent UCL surgery last month on his right arm elbow but should be throwing again by the time Miami returns to practice in the spring.

The 2025-26 college football season will mark Beck's final year of eligibility.
