It's a big win for the Gators, who have been hot on Konanbanny's trail over the last few months. Gators Online broke down some of the process with his recruitment, which dates back to Corey Raymond being on staff.

The Gators were not mentioned with Konanbanny for much of the cycle but did offer in 2023 when Corey Raymond was still on the staff. That first trip to Gainesville, however, did not take place until November, but heavy buzz started to surface during the morning of his final day on campus.

From there, Konanbanny decided not to sign in December and remained in heavy communication with the Gators. That led to secondary coach Will Harris paying him a visit during the first day of the contact period and then convincing him to take one last trip to the Swamp on Jan. 17, which sealed the deal.

Konanbanny is the 26th commit of the 2025 recruiting class that currently ranks 11th in the nation and eighth in the SEC according to On3 Sports. He is also the fourth defensive back commit in the class, which will help fortify the unit tenfold.
