The Florida Gators 2025 recruiting class got a massive boost two weeks after national signing day when five-star wide receiver Dallas Wilson flipped his commitment from the Oregon Ducks.
On Monday, they got even more good news with Wilson. Gators Online reported that Wilson has completed his coursework and will enroll early, allowing him to participate in spring practice.
Wilson took his last final exam at 4:30 p.m. and Florida has received his grade in the class, according to his agent. Monday was the deadline for him to submit his transcript to enroll for the UF spring semester.
Wilson will arrive in Gainesville on Tuesday to begin classes.
Dallas Wilson set to enroll early at Florida
Wilson's recruitment was wild. He committed to Oregon in January 2023 but didn't stop visiting. He made two official visits to Gainesville, one in June and one in November. The Gators made a hard push for Wilson, but he stayed with the Ducks.
15 days later on December 19th, Wilson asked to get out of his financial aid paperwork from the Ducks and they obliged. He signed with the Gators the next day.
Wilson was On3 Sports' number three wide receiver and 21st overall player in the 2025 recruiting class. Their scouting report on Wilson is a great example of why he will be a huge asset for quarterback DJ Lagway.
Twitchy wide receiver with the ability to win at the catch point and some of the best after-catch ability in the cycle. Measured in at 6-foot-2.75, 193 pounds with 32.5-inch arms and 10-inch hands at the On3 Elite Series prior to his senior season. A good athlete who runs well in the combine setting. Shows a well-rounded skill set on Friday nights. A functional athlete who has a noticeable bounce in his movement. Shows quick feet with the ability to cut on a dime. Physical and flashes strong hands at the catch point. Attacks the ball in high-point situations. Outstanding after the catch. Sticks his foot in the ground and gets upfield quickly. Has great contact balance and breaks arm tackles. Dangerous when working underneath and over the middle of the field. Caught 49 passes for 879 yards and nine touchdowns as a junior. Will need to continue adding polish to his game. Projects as a versatile X receiver with the ability to threaten all areas of the field.
With spring practice approaching, we will get our first look at Wilson, and it should be exciting.
