Ohio State quarterback Will Howard surprised his teammates with 130 televisions as a Christmas gift, collaborating with electronics brand Element.
Last weekend, Howard delivered an impressive performance against Tennessee, leading the Buckeyes to a 42-17 victory in the College Football Playoff against No. 9 Tennessee.
On Friday, he joined forces with Element Electronics to present 130 55-inch TVs to each member of the Ohio State football squad.
After practice at the Woody Hayes Athletic Center, the televisions were brought into the indoor field, where Howard addressed the team, expressing his love for them before being excitedly enveloped by his teammates.
Offensive lineman Donovan Jackson excitedly said: "I can't wait to watch Will Howard highlights on this TV."
“It felt great to give my teammates something they can enjoy off the field. We’ve all been grinding, and this is a fun way to show appreciation for the effort we put in together,” said Howard.
Mike O’Shaughnessy, the founder and CEO of Element and an Ohio State alumnus, expressed his pride and support for the program in a team release.
“We wanted to make sure the players felt the love from Buckeye Nation,” said O’Shaughnessy, “We hope that our gift of these smart Element Xumo TVs will serve as a reminder to them that Buckeyes are family and we are all with them in spirit during the holiday and playoff season.”
