Florida State Seminoles are drawing interest from one of the most coveted players in the transfer portal

Despite finishing the 2024 season 2-10, which is one of the worst seasons the Florida State Seminoles have ever had, and the worst season since 1974 when they went 1-10. However, even with that bad season, which is thankfully now put behind us, the Seminoles still somehow managed to keep a top-20 recruiting class for the 2025 season.
But, there is still work to be done with the transfer portal coming up. This team needs a lot of work roster-wise, and the portal will only help that, as this portal class is loaded at more than a few positions. One of the positions the Noles need the most help with has to be quarterback, and there are a few guys at the position in the portal that everyone is looking at.
The Noles brought in DJ Uiagalelei this offseason, and that obviously failed tremendously. This year they are bringing in freshman Kevin Sperry, who flipped from the Oklahoma Sooners to the Noles on signing day. With the Uiagalelei situation, having some very young and inexperienced quarterbacks, they should most definitely be looking at some QBs in the portal.
And, one of the most coveted is looking at them.
According to On3, Liberty transfer quarterback Kaidon Salter is planning a visit to Florida State, along with Syracuse and Colorado.
If he were to sign with Colorado, he would have to battle five-star freshman Julian Lewis, a QB the Buffs have given a lot of money to. If he were to come to FSU, I'm confident that he would be the immediate starter.
Salter is good, very good, and a QB that can score the ball, no matter how it gets done. He had a somewhat down year this season which still saw him with just under 2,000 passing yards, 15 passing touchdowns, and six interceptions, with 579 rushing yards, and seven rushing touchdowns.
But 2023 was insane. He finished with just under 3,000 passing yards, 32 passing touchdowns, six interceptions, over 1,000 rushing yards, and 12 rushing touchdowns. He played only 11 games last season, too. So, this would be a huge upgrade for the Noles.
